Four friends (from left to right: Tor, Soleil, Fritz, and Basil) hanging out and chatting away happily in a decidedly groovy living room. Shag carpet, albums on the wall, a beanbag chair... what more could you want?
This piece is a redrawn version of an older one from 2020. Rather than my usual "print-like" style, I aimed to draw something more like a still from a cartoon - this included adding faint shadows below the characters, as if they were drawn on a cel placed atop the background. In addition, the scratchy, slightly uneven line work was inspired by the results of the Xerox technique used by Disney in the 1960s and 70s. More personally, quite a few elements come from my time spent at my mother's home in Norway growing up - the plants by the window, the wood paneling, and the soda on the table.
